My interaction with people from all over the world helped me broaden my horizons further. I got a better understanding of different cultures, religions and ended up making lots of friends.

Some things cannot be taught; they must be experienced. You never learn the most valuable lessons in life until you go through your own journey.” ? Roy T. Bennett

I was very lucky to get an opportunity that only a few get. To be able to study for a Semester Exchange Program at WUT, China. This was an experience of a lifetime, since I have lead a very sheltered life.

I learned important problem solving skills from figuring out ways of communicating with the local population (download an app!) when I didn’t know a word of Chinese to using public transport when the signs were all in their language. Being a Muslim, I had to figure out ways to ensure that the food that I ate was halal. I loved trying out their local cuisines.

My interaction with people from all over the world helped me broaden my horizons further. I got a better understanding of different cultures, religions and ended up making lots of friends. The teachers and the university was amazing and I learned a lot while I was there.

I would like to express my gratitude to HSM and OIN for giving me this opportunity. I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life.
