Collaboration Meeting with UTAR

The University of Management and Technology (UMT) and University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) held a meeting to establish a collaborative framework focusing on academic, research, and operational cooperation. Key outcomes included UTAR’s proposal to offer PhD and MS programs to UMT faculty under a Faculty Exchange Program, and the joint launch of a split-degree program through a pilot project. UMT proposed introducing the Khurrum Murad Scholarship for UTAR faculty, while UTAR announced short-term academic courses and summer schools for UMT faculty and students. Both universities emphasized strengthening internationalization policies in academic development, research, and economic growth. To further the partnership, Mr. Alex Lee Choy Fong (UTAR) will visit Pakistan, with an invitation from UMT’s Office of Internationalization to visit its campus, marking an important step in advancing the agreed initiatives.
