Rules and Regulations

 For Student Exchange Programs:

 The Student:

  • Shall meet all deadlines issued by the Office of Internationalization (OIN)
  • Shall pay regular tuition fee at UMT as per routine procedures during the exchange period.
  • Shall be responsible for add/drop, registration, and other matters related to University Management Offices.
  • Shall follow all the set rules of Host University and the country.
  • Will be solely responsible for the academic performance throughout the exchange program.
  • Will be fully liable for all actions during the exchange program
  • Has clear understanding that University of Management and Technology would not    have any liability for the legal/illegal actions in the Host Country/University during the exchange Program
  • Has clear understanding that the role of Office of Internationalization is to facilitate the students for the Student Exchange Program. The said office won’t be held responsible for any of the student’s actions during the exchange program.
  • Understands that OIN and UMT are not responsible for Visa Processing and/or guarantee of visa. Visa documentation is solely student’s responsibility. 
  • Understands that OIN and UMT cannot guarantee the positive response of the visa application. The concerned country embassy is solely responsible for that. 
  • Shall ensure that before the departure, the program director has approved the courses to be studied during the exchange program and he/she has been informed and agree with selected courses.
  • Has clear understanding that upon arrival, department and registrar at UMT will be responsible for the courses, grades and credits transfer. Student can only register courses as per the course load set by Home University.
  • Has clear understanding that only courses and credit hours matching home university road map will be transferred at Home university as per the approved Grading Criteria
  • Shall meet all timelines set by OIN and the Partner University.
  • Has clear understanding that in case he/she tried to slip during the Exchange Program at Partner University/Country, OIN shall immediately report to Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and authorities at the host country. OIN, UMT will not be responsible for legal action being taken against the student.

 For Study/Cultural Trips & Winter/Summer School Program:

 The Student:

  • Shall pay regular tuition fee at UMT as per routine procedures during the winter/Summer School program & Study/Cultural Trip (if any).
  • Shall be responsible for add/drop, registration, and other matters related to University Management Offices during the trip.
  • Shall follow all the set rules of Host University and the country
  • Will be solely responsible for the academic performance throughout the trip.
  • Will be fully liable for all actions during program.
  • Has clear Understanding that University of Management and Technology would not have any liability for the legal/illegal actions in the Host Country/University during the trip.
  • Understands that the role of Office of Internationalization is to facilitate the students for the trip. The said office won’t be held responsible for any of the actions during the program
  • Understands that OIN and UMT are not responsible for Visa Processing and/or guarantee of visa. Visa documentation is solely my responsibility. 
  • Understands that OIN and UMT cannot guarantee the positive response of the visa application. The concerned country embassy is solely responsible for that. 
  • Ensures that accommodation and other facilities at Host university/Country are left tidy and unharmed. In case left untidy/harmed, He/she will be responsible and liable to pay fine of damages if any as per host university/country policy.
  • Will follow all rules and regulations set by OIN and UMT for safe and comfortable stay at Host University and country and follow schedule provided by the Host University.
  • Shall ensure that before the departure, the program director and guardian have allowed to join the trip
  • Has clear understanding that only courses and credit hours matching home university road map will be transferred at Home university as per the approved Grading Criteria
  • Shall meet all timelines set by OIN and the Partner University.
  • Has clear understanding that in case he/she tried to slip during the Trip at Partner University/Country, OIN shall immediately report to Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and authorities at the host country. OIN, UMT will not be responsible for legal action being taken against the student.
